TO GET THERE

BY CAR:
You can use THIS
(click) Google map direction from the airport. Most car rental companies
has offices in the airport (Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Sixt, Budget), and can be
found if you turn to the left immediately when you exit customs after baggage
claim. Book in advance. Be advised that cars are expensive in Denmark!
PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
You can take the train directly from the airport to
Roskilde city. When you exit customs after baggage claim, proceed straight
ahead, and find DSB Ticket Sales office on your right hand side. You will need
to buy a ticket for Òall zones (9 zones)Ó either in the ticket vending machine
or if it is too complicated use the sales office. REMEMBER TO ASK IF YOU NEED
TO STAMP THE TICKET YOU CHOOSE TO BUY! (different types). It requires at least
a university degree to understand the ticket and zones system in Denmark ;-) so
we recommend you to ask at the sales office.
The train runs directly to Roskilde every hour,
otherwise the train runs every 10 minutes to the Central Station, where you
will have to change to a train towards Roskilde. ASK AT THE TICKET SALES
OFFICE.
From Roskilde station you can take BUS 203 towards
ÒVeddelevÓ and get off at the busstop ÒVestre KirkevejÓ after approximately 10
minutes – ask the bus driver
to tell you. The ticket you bought for the train is also valid for the bus (depending
on type). From the bus stop you need to walk up the hill on Vestre Kirkevej 550
meters. Check the Google Map link on top.
A taxi from Roskilde station to Comwell Roskilde is
probably the best option and will cost around DKK 100,-.
COMMON TRANSPORT:
Maybe some of our local guests from Copenhagen volunteers
to pick someone up in the airport? We will try and ask those of you living
close to the airport, if you perhaps could pick up some of those arriving by
aircraft. In that case we can Òteam you upÓ and exchange contact info.
